The author argues the COVID-19 pandemic has exposed inadequate one-size-fits-all school reforms; inadequate school financing for vulnerable communities and children; and the need for more collaboration among education, health and social agencies, to effectively reach and teach children. He explores how schools face a future of rapid change, intensifying complexity and growing uncertainty, and concludes teachers must learn from what has and has not worked during the pandemic, then move to lead transformation of their profession. |
