Parking

As parking in the area is mainly 1 and 2 hour, we recommend that participants use public transport. CSE is a 5 minute walk from trams and trains.

 

PROGRAM DETAILS

In this workshop educators will learn about the six recommendations for good implementation and apply these within the context of their school by writing their own implementation plan. These are:

  • Treating implementation as a process rather than an event.

  • Creating a leadership environment and school climate conducive to good implementation.

  • Define the problem you want to solve.

  • Creating a clear implementation plan.

  • Supporting staff, monitoring progress and solving problems.

  • Planning for sustaining and scaling the intervention.

The six recommendations are woven into the four key stages of implementation of;

  1. Explore

  2. Prepare

  3. Deliver

  4. Sustain.

The stages and foundations of implementation will be investigated within the context of an Australian case study of a school’s improvement journey.

 

ABOUT THE PRESENTER

Dr Tanya Vaughan is Associate Director (Education), Evidence for Learning and is responsible for the marketing, product development, community leadership and strategy for the Teaching & Learning Toolkit. Tanya has worked in education as a teacher, in policy design, implementation and evaluation in key Australian organisations including AITSL and ACARA. She has consulted on international and national projects in evaluation and educational leadership with Learning First and Educational Transformations. Tanya has co-authored one international book, three chapters, 14 journal articles, eight media items and facilitated 116 conference presentations/workshops in educational research.
