Parking

As parking in the area is mainly 1 and 2 hour, we recommend that participants use public transport. CSE is a 5 minute walk from trams and trains.

2 DAY WORKSHOP

 

This two day program is designed to build the coaching skills of principals, heads of departments, team leaders and anyone in a school or system leadership role. 


This two day workshop comprises:

  • The what, why and how of coaching

  • The three pillars of the Growth Coaching International coaching system: The structured framework, the eight key skills of coaching and emotional intelligence

  • The eight step GROWTH coaching model: what, why and how of each component of the framework, including a focus on goal setting

  • Skill development for coaching: the eight key skills of coaching, in particular being present, active listening and solution focused questioning

  • Practise giving feedback and link to coaching 

  • Coaching demonstrations around real workplace issues

  • Opportunities to practice coaching conversations with individualised support

  • Develop next steps for taking coaching forward in your context

 

ABOUT THE PRESENTERS

 

Gray Ryan is the Managing Consultant for Growth Coaching International (GCI) in Victoria. He is an experienced coach and coach trainer with an extensive background in educational leadership. He has been a secondary school principal, senior education officer and regional network leader responsible for leading and managing a network of primary, secondary and specialist schools. He has highly developed leadership skills and is widely acknowledged for his success in building leadership capacity in others.

 

Chris Munro is a Senior Consultant with Growth Coaching International (GCI) in Victoria. He has extensive experience of supporting and leading the development of teachers and school leaders in Government and Independent schools and in Higher Education. The leadership of professional learning strategy and the development of school coaching models have been key aspects of his most recent school roles in Australia. Chris is an experienced coach and facilitator and has presented at a number of major conferences in the UK and Australia.
